前言 Curatorial Statement

一位以生活所依的艺术创作者——黄颖，她惯于用生活中特别常见的事物借以表达，以艺术家的身份状态介入其中来活化常规现象。因为原本日常中的麻醉能力已倾向于让生活在这个系统内的人不反思,致使被麻醉的人表达公式化、思想情感符号化、行为也机械化。而艺术家旨在通过本次展览项目《婚礼》对固有文化起到一种催化作用，她希望其他人能够通过她的作品从主流意识形态的麻醉中逃脱出来，获得个性与思考。在日常系统中达到对常态思维的新陈代谢。不论其他，在每件作品的源流之中，它也应该是联系着前后左右，高低深浅，都是关联的与周遭一切发生关系。

一方面，从《比翼双飞》，《今夜，我爱你千百遍》，《爱你一万年》，《我是你的影子》，《共享爱情》，《我的欧式梦》等作品里，艺术家声称自己是一个“假装追逐浪漫的人”，玫瑰花的符号、鸳鸯羽毛的爱情象征等代表，不难让我们想到种种类似出现在我们身边的事物或者亲身经历过的场景。此种常态下作用出的流行浪漫已然成为了流行品种，早为大多数人所接受。到底是大众使用了当下流行浪漫作为表达内心的媒介，还是流行浪漫利用大众成为了流行文化？然而每个情感主体都是应该有用心观看的个性技能。每个人的浪漫呈现方式相比较会有偏差，接受的载体也不一样。那到底是谁给这些物体粘贴了浪漫的标签，还引起大众的共鸣。是被消费?还是被麻醉了的头脑里面根本就没有那个主？黄颖会从真实生活中的主流意识常态现象中经过提炼，将介质通过打碎重组再构建，平静又疯狂逼真的转化成为一种黑色幽默却让观者觉乎合情合理、触手可及。

另一方面，她尝试用不同的媒介与材料来进行一个形式上的转化。艺术家黄颖从网上买回的廉价工业化作品制作材料或许和她想要表达的中产式罗曼蒂克现象蓄意谋和。铺天盖地的工业化成品、半成品充斥我们的生活。消费者追逐流行的情况下消费了这些浪漫产品，更有甚者是消费者长时间积累的辛苦积蓄也被迫进行消费而不自知。在黄颖看来，还有一种是底层民众对于代表中产消费的“罗曼蒂克”的向往又是一种被误解了的阶级文化。而与之不同的，是艺术家通过彼消费对此消费进行一种再解读，赤裸裸的直视这种流行浪漫。正如她作品里描述的一样，并不浪漫，反倒无趣的让人细思恐极。

Huang Ying, an art creator who takes life as a source of inspiration. As an artist, she uses the common things in life to express, to intervene and to activate the conventional phenomenon. Daily life tends to set up a system that anesthetized people do not reflect, and further resulting in formulized expression, symbolized emotion and mechanized behavior.  The artist aims to play a catalytic role in the culture through the exhibition Wedding. She hopes that the audiences will be able to escape from the mainstream ideology through her works, to recover their personalities and sentiments and to reconsider the normal thinking process in the daily system. In any case, her works are related and trying to change all the surroundings.

On the one hand, from the artworks such as Flying Wing to Wing, Tonight, I Love You Thousands of Times, Love You Ten Thousand Years, I am Your Shadow and My European Dream, the artist claims that she is a person who “pretends to chase romance”. Roses and feathers of mandarin duck are apparently reminding us some similar symbols or personal experiences. This popular romance has become a part of our life and has been accepted by most of us. It is difficult to tell whether the public uses this popular romance as its inner expression or the popular romance uses the public to become a popular culture. However, each emotional subject should have its personality skills to watch things carefully. Everyone's romantic presentation is biased, and everyone’s emotion carrier is different. Who affixed to these objects with a romantic label and aroused public resonance? Huang Ying will reorganize and reconstruct the mainstream consciousness and transfer it to a black humor that appears to be reasonable.

On the other hand, she tries to use a different medium and material to carry out a formal transformation. The Artist purchased some cheap industrial products, which represent her thinking of this middle-class romance. People are consuming these romantic products in the name of popular, and even worse they are exhausting their accumulations in the absence of perception. In Huang Ying’s view, there is a misunderstanding of the class culture that the bottom of the public’s yearning of the consumption of romance. And the difference is that the artist, though her re-interpretation of consumption, is overcoming it. Just as her works, which is not even romantic but too boring to make people take it seriously.
